 Amman, 12 May 2007 - A two-month course to enhance survey capacities of staff working with People with Disabilities
AVSI, an NGO supported by the Italian Government, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Al-Hussein Society for the Habilitation/Rehabilitation of the Physically Challenged have started a Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) survey course which will run for a period of two months, within the framework of the project “Towards Better Integration of Persons with Disabilities through ICT and Networking”.

Provided by a team of specialized professionals from Al Hussein Society for the Rehabilitation and Habilitation of the Physically Challenged, a three-day training course started today. Entitled “Assistive Technology for the Computer”, this course aims to train specialized members from several centers that work with people with special needs to train the physically challenged to function independently by using computers for work, education, or communication.
