Volunteering with UNV:
• UNV volunteer: UNVs are professionals with formal qualifications and experiences. There is an International and a National UN Volunteers (UNVs) programme. UNV assignment varies from three months to two years or more. For more information visit: www.unvolunteers.org
•Corporate/Private Sector Programme: United Nations International Short-Term Advisory Resources (UNISTAR) provide strategic advice to companies and industries – making a real impact in a matter of weeks. An assignment of UNISTAR can last from one week to a maximum period of three months.
• TOKTEN: Transfer of Knowledge through Expatriate Nationals (TOKEN) enables professionals living outside their country of origin to return for short periods to assist academics, research, public or industrial bodies. Consultant Contracts vary from one week to three months.
• UNITeS: United Nations Information Technology Service volunteers work directly with people and institutions in developing countries to build capacity on the applications of information and communications technologies (ICT) to human development. (www.unites.org)
